Harry Hyams the owner of this fine piece, one of the most famous painting in British Art, was announced dead after Christmas.  The painting has been on loan at the National Gallery in London for many year, now I wonder what is going to happen to it…

UPDATE: The Sunday Times reported yesterday, January 10th, 2016, that Turner’s ‘Bridgewater Seapiece‘ had been ‘saved for the nation’ after its late owner Harry Hyams specified in his will that the picture should be left on display at the National Gallery. More: The Telegraph
