inI do understand the marketing concept of it, but to emulate art with food is a little too much even for the contemporary movement. Do not get me wrong, I value all strategies of advertisement, however it does bother me the price contemporaneous are willing to pay for it. I have love for all art periods(good art), but it is the upper reaches of contemporary art market that I do not appreciate.

inThe Bank of England has announced that a self-portrait of Joseph Mallord William Turner as a young man will grace the new £20 notes. The new design, which will enter circulation in 2020, will also feature Turner’s painting The Fighting Temeraire (1839) in the background.
It is the first time in history that a visual artist is the face of a money bill, and I’m thrilled that Turner was chosen for such a honor, no one better to represent the cultural change in England.
